School Council
Herne Junior School we value the opinions of all children. Our school council play a very important role in acting as the voice of the children.
Every year we elect a new school council. The school council is elected democratically by the pupils and each class is represented by a school councillor. The council enables pupils to become partners in their own education and make a positive contribution to the school environment. The council meet every week. The children bring ideas to the meeting about how we could improve the school and concerns that their peers may have. To date the children have been responsible for the decoration of the toilets, improvement of the adventure playground, playground equipment, library, itc etc....
Our School Council meetings are on Friday's at 1.30pm
