Herne sent a large team to the Butser Challenge
On Sunday the 27th Semptember, children from across Years 3, 4, 5 and 6 took part in the Butser Hill Challenge. They ran up and down Butser Hill in a tough race which was certainly not for the faint-hearted! Every child who took part was a winner because this year Herne is promoting keeping fit and healthy and certainly this is one way to do that. The following children in particular did exceedingly well coming first out of all of the Herne children (overall position for each year group in brackets):
Year 3 – Angus Cockburn (17/59), Lewis Barnes (19/59) & Emilia Morley (25/59 & 3rd best girl)
Year 4 – Reuben Duggan (18/70), Oliver Kis (21/70) & Zahra Williams (32/70)
Year 5 – Jake Cleasby (5/67), Charlie Lawrence (11/67) & Charlie Dyer (29/67)
Year 6 – Elliot White (7/66), Max White (8/66) & Edward Black (27/66)
